Product Description

Product Reviews

Akari Light Sculptures stand as timeless icons of modern design, showcasing the artistic brilliance of their creator. Inspired vision, these paper lanterns were initially conceptualized in 1951 and meticulously handcrafted in Gifu, Japan, by the original manufacturer for over half a century. The exquisite blend of Japanese handcraft and modernist form culminates in these enchanting lamps.

Crafted with care, each lamp features handmade washi paper and bamboo ribbing, delicately supported by a sturdy metal frame. The design inspiration originates from Noguchi's fascination with harmoniously merging traditional Japanese craftsmanship with the sleek, minimalist aesthetics of modernism.
